If you create an account, Supabase Auth processes your email address and authentication credentials. Your public profile can contain a username, avatar and optional biography. Depending on the functions you use, Volpedia can also store favourites, posts, comments, votes, saved items, reports and moderation notices. Public profile information and published contributions may be visible to other visitors; your account email is not displayed in your public profile. Hosting and security services can process request information such as IP addresses.
Account and authentication features are requested services; safety and abuse prevention protect users and the service; certain processing may be required by law. The operator must still confirm and document each corresponding GDPR legal basis (including any legitimate-interest assessment) for the deployed functions. Agreeing to the Terms never substitutes for separate advertising consent.
Volpedia uses Vercel for website hosting and Web Analytics, Supabase for login and its database, and Resend for transactional authentication emails. The SMTP sending flow has been tested. The Google AdSense tag is used for verification and Privacy & messaging; advertising placements have not been enabled. Resend states that email and log data are retained for 30 days, with data stored in the United States and safeguards described in its published DPA at https://resend.com/security. The website uses Vercel for hosting and cookie-free Web Analytics, Supabase for authentication and database services, Resend for transactional authentication email and Google for Privacy & messaging and AdSense site verification. Advertising placements are not enabled. According to Resend, email and log data are retained for 30 days and stored in the United States, with documented contractual transfer protections. Other providers, their subprocessors, processing locations and applicable international-transfer safeguards still require verification in the controller's current agreements and settings. The operator must verify the actual vendor contracts, subprocessors, processing regions and any cross-border safeguards for this deployment.
Google Analytics and ad placements are not enabled; the AdSense tag is used to display privacy notices. Embedded YouTube playback remains disabled; video links open YouTube only when selected. Google Privacy & messaging is configured for advertising consent and US state opt-outs, but its effective operation and data transfers require testing before monetization.
Volpedia uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure page views and approximate daily visitor counts. According to Vercel, this service does not place analytics cookies and stores anonymized measurement data. We exclude authentication, account, and administration routes and remove URL query strings before sending page events. This is separate from Google Analytics and Google advertising; processor details and retention practices are subject to the privacy disclosures on this page.
Different kinds of records have different storage needs. Accounts and contributions: Account and contribution retention is still being confirmed. The intended criterion is the active account or published contribution, with verified erasure procedures and any required exceptions; the actual deletion flow has not been end-to-end tested. Hosting and security logs: Hosting security and runtime logs may have provider-defined retention; the actual Vercel configuration and any exported or application-level logs have not been verified. Moderation records: Moderation records may be needed for report review and abuse prevention. The actual maximum period, deletion criteria and exceptions still require verification. Backups: The availability and retention of provider snapshots or any manual exports have not been verified. No fixed backup-retention period is claimed. These statements do not set or change any provider's retention schedule. Account deletion is available in the application, but the deployed database, authentication account, backups and moderation retention behaviour require an end-to-end test before public registration opens. Some legally required records can be retained when an exception applies.

You can complain to the Italian Garante per la protezione dei dati personali or another competent supervisory authority.
Volpedia currently describes its account service as intended for people aged 16 or over. Applicable age-verification requirements and protection for minors must be evaluated before public registration is enabled.
