Wild Pokémon encounters

The exploration and capture loop rather than a separate competitive playlist.

Wild Pokémon can be found in Lumiose wild zones and elsewhere. Some can be approached and caught directly; others are better weakened through battle before attempting a capture.

Practice observation, cover and timing in familiar zones. Be patient with Pokémon that flee quickly and keep a range of Poké Balls handy.

Do not conflate ordinary encounters with Alpha Pokémon, rogue Mega encounters or DLC hyperspace battles.
