Important crossplay limits

  • Cross-play allows players on different supported platforms to enter compatible Fortnite modes together. Availability may still differ across specific modes or account restrictions.
  • Epic documents how PlayStation players can toggle cross-platform play. Switching it off can restrict matchmaking; Epic says the option is not available for PC and Switch.
  • Having the same game installed does not guarantee that every playlist, account or parent-controlled feature is available.

Does my progress transfer?

Progress is tied to the Epic account; verify account linking and availability in the current game before changing linked accounts.

How to play with friends

  1. Open Fortnite and inspect your friends and party settings.
  2. Check that each player is using the intended Epic account.
  3. If matchmaking fails, review cross-platform permissions on the relevant device and mode.
