Minecraft circle generator

Turn a diameter into a block-by-block pixel blueprint. Make a ring, a filled circle or an ellipse, then count the blocks and build one row at a time.

Each colored square is one block. Completed rows turn grey. Counts use the original Volpedia center-of-cell ellipse approximation.

Column 1 starts at the left of the blueprint. Place each block range, leave the gaps empty, then mark the row complete. Save your project to resume later.

How to build a round shape in Minecraft

  1. Choose the diameter in blocks. Odd widths use a single center block; even widths center between four blocks.
  2. Read each blueprint row from left to right and place a block for each colored square. Mirror the pattern around the center for a symmetric build.
  3. Gather the displayed number of blocks, including some spare materials. Mark finished rows as you work on a tower, arena, pond or base.

Circle, ellipse or ring?

Hollow ring

Use for tower walls, fountains and rounded windows. Increase ring thickness for wide walls.

Filled disc

Use for floors, platforms and foundations. Select Filled to count every block in the footprint.

Ellipse

Untick the circle constraint to control height separately. Build oval gardens, rooms and arenas.
