Calculate storage capacity
Enter the item amount and its maximum stack size. Ordinary barrels, shulker boxes and single chests have 27 slots; standard double chests have 54. Special inventories and nested packing are excluded.
32 / 64 items
This counts ordinary container slots only. It does not count nested shulker boxes, bundles, container contents or any items with special storage rules. Stack sizes can differ by item and game version.
Choosing the right container
Single chest or barrel
27 inventory slots. At stack size 64, one full container can hold 1,728 of that item.
Double chest
54 slots. For a 64-stack item, the maximum capacity is 3,456 items.
Shulker box
27 slots for portable organization. This calculator does not model shulker boxes stored inside other containers.
