What changed
The October 9 balance post records lower Shadow Scythe base damage, reduced shockwave damage and a shorter Twilight of the Gods duration. It also changes Living Abyss in two directions: a lower cooldown, but slower movement during the ability. These changes do not by themselves establish Gorr’s competitive strength.
Practise the shorter ultimate window
Editorial exercise: before committing the ultimate, identify the enemies you can actually reach and the cover that might interrupt your approach. Review whether time is being spent travelling instead of applying pressure. Avoid chasing a retreating target so far that the rest of the fight becomes inaccessible.
Do not confuse availability with safety
A shorter cooldown makes an ability available more often, but a slower traversal can still change where you finish and how opponents react. Test the route in practice. Check whether nearby allies can follow the entry instead of treating the ability as a guaranteed escape.
A source discrepancy to keep visible
At this review, the official profile table lists a 13-second Living Abyss cooldown while the October 9 balance post specifies 12 seconds. The profile keeps the table observation and the dated patch change separate. Until that discrepancy is resolved, use the in-game description to confirm the value for your current build.
