Minecraft Block Gradient Generator
Create a smooth-looking wall, roof or pixel-art transition using named Minecraft building blocks. Pick any two colors, narrow the search to a material family and export the design as a reference.

How to use block gradients in Minecraft
A block gradient is a sequence of materials arranged to move from one color or brightness to another. A broad light-to-dark gradient can help create depth on walls or mountains, while a tighter group within wool or concrete can create recognizable pixel art. Use the preview to find a starting sequence, then place sample rows in your own world: Minecraft's lighting and textures influence how every block appears.
How the generator chooses blocks
This editor uses an original, curated list of approximately represented block colors. It interpolates between your selected start and end colors, then chooses one available material for each step using a weighted RGB distance. It never repeats the same block in a single gradient. The result is a convenience suggestion, not measured photometric data or an official palette from Minecraft. Choosing a single material family gives a more visually consistent style but fewer available colors.
Gradient FAQ
Do the colors match Minecraft exactly? No. Blocks have textures and may change appearance with lighting, biomes and resource packs. Swatches are illustrative approximations.
Does it automatically build the gradient? No. It generates an ordered shopping list and a picture to follow.
Can I share my palette? Yes. The share link contains your color and family choices in the URL; it does not require a Volpedia account.
