Minecraft Redstone Repeater Tick Calculator

Build a repeatable repeater delay by selecting a target duration. The tool gives settings for each repeater and distinguishes redstone ticks from ordinary game ticks.

Repeater settings in signal order

4444441

Each setting indicates a repeater's 1–4 redstone-tick delay (0.1–0.4 seconds). This is the sum of isolated repeaters, not a guaranteed clock period. Long circuits, pulse behavior and edition-specific update ordering may differ.

Game ticks vs redstone ticks

Minecraft normally has 20 game ticks in one simulated second. A conventional redstone tick is two game ticks, or 0.1 seconds. The timing differs from a screen frame and from real-world time during lag.

Repeater settings

A repeater can be configured to 1, 2, 3 or 4 redstone ticks. The planner combines these settings to approach the entered duration to the nearest tenth of a second. Place repeaters in order and verify the result in your actual edition.

Why this is not a clock simulator

A string of repeaters gives a signal delay. Clock oscillation also depends on feedback wiring, pulse length, component order and update timing. This calculator does not simulate complex circuits or lag.
