Decide when an early sprinkler setup saves more time than another manual watering routine.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Sprinklers water a defined pattern of nearby crop tiles each morning when placed appropriately. They trade some materials and layout planning for recurring time and energy savings, especially as your farm grows.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

Before crafting a large batch, plan where scarecrows, paths and crop rows will fit. Count which tiles each sprinkler covers and avoid placing it where trees or paths consume most of its useful area.

  1. 01Check available sprinkler tier
  2. 02Sketch its coverage pattern
  3. 03Reserve paths and scarecrow space
  4. 04Expand after a small test
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

Different sprinkler tiers cover different patterns. Do not copy a late-game layout when you only have access to an early version.
