Learn individual routines
Residents move between homes, shops, forests and other locations as time, seasons and weather change. Talk when you pass someone rather than traversing the map repeatedly solely for one greeting.
Use the gifts system
Different villagers love, like or dislike different items. Track discovered preferences from in-game clues and prioritize meaningful birthday gifts. Gift limits and timing matter; flooding one character with random products is inefficient.
Follow heart events
Many character stories unlock as friendship grows but still require location and time conditions. A missing cutscene may be waiting for a particular weather condition or room, not proof that your friendship progress disappeared.
