Farming materials without losing kits: complete guide

01

Choose a direct goal

Pick one workstation or project and list its currently missing materials. This determines whether a loot item is worth time, weight and risk. A practical material route should include a fallback destination. If your preferred building or salvage site is occupied, collect a different needed part nearby or extract safely instead of escalating a fight over a single resource.

02

Choose a safer route

Prefer the shortest terrain you know well, not the most spectacular high-value destination. Avoid open fights unless they produce the required material.

03

Retain enough capacity

Clear unneeded items from your kit before launch so a successful run has room for actual progress. Keep emergency supplies intact.

04

Leave with partial progress

Extract after finding a scarce ingredient instead of gambling it on another chest. Several ordinary successes outperform one large failure.

05

Apply the resources

Deposit required materials and upgrade the intended workstation. If your priority has changed, update the list before embarking again.
