How it works

Learn every playable fighter without mixing up their unique systems.

02

Practical strategy

Follow the chapters in order, practise each system in a safe encounter, and revisit your Pictos, weapon scaling and AP flow when a step stops working.

03

Mistakes to avoid

Treating every build or boss sequence as identical across all save files and patches leads to avoidable mistakes.

ORIGINAL VOLPEDIA / FIVE CHAPTERS

Character mechanics: all six fighters: walkthrough

01

Gustave and Overcharge

Gustave’s unique resource rewards setup and a deliberate release. Fill Charge through normal actions and reserve the payoff for a meaningful target or Break window. A basic attack is useful when it helps the next more decisive turn.

02

Maelle and stances

Maelle rotates through stances including Virtuose. Plan how the next skill will change her state, not merely what damage it will cause immediately. Pair her high-value burst with teammate Mark or another suitable setup.

03

Lune and Sciel

Lune creates Stains with spells and consumes them to improve subsequent actions. Sciel applies and exploits Foretell, with Sun/Moon and Twilight decisions shaping the release. Both reward thinking at least one turn ahead.

04

Verso and Monoco

Verso’s Perfection rank benefits from a clean action sequence and avoidance of damage. Monoco learns enemy moves and controls his Bestial Wheel; his skill variety makes him flexible but increases the value of preparation.

05

Choose a team for the battle

Bring three fighters whose resources complement one another. Add healing or defensive coverage before a hard boss, then refine AP generation and damage once the incoming attacks are understood.
