01

Overview

An early gatekeeper who tests whether you can read delayed attacks instead of panic-rolling.

02

How it works

His windups punish rolling on sight, while recovery after committed attacks creates windows.

03

How to approach it

Watch the actual arm release, then dodge into a safer angle and punish once.

04

Common mistakes

Repeated early rolls can place you in the path of the delayed strike.

ORIGINAL VOLPEDIA WALKTHROUGH

Margit, the Fell Omen: step by step

01

Where to fight

Margit guards the approach to Stormveil Castle in Limgrave. Before committing to repeated attempts, explore the Weeping Peninsula, activate more Sites of Grace and improve your weapon and flasks. There is no need to beat him immediately after first seeing his fog wall.

02

How his patterns work

His staff swings alternate quick and very slow releases. A raised weapon may hang in the air before the impact, making immediate panic rolls unreliable. He can also create spectral daggers to interrupt long healing or ranged attacks.

03

Safe counterplay

Try to dodge through the true impact rather than the beginning of the animation. Stay aware of the next move in his chain; take only one or two attacks after a confirmed ending. Shields and summons can ease learning but cannot replace watching his recovery.
