01

Overview

A late optional boss using bloodflame, area denial and a distinctive phase transition.

02

How it works

His signature transition applies repeated blood-loss-like damage; a relevant crystal tear can mitigate the effect.

03

How to approach it

Prepare the appropriate Physick if obtained and conserve healing for unavoidable windows.

04

Common mistakes

Do not confuse this boss with the separate Mohg fight in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

ORIGINAL VOLPEDIA WALKTHROUGH

Mohg, Lord of Blood: step by step

01

Do not confuse his versions

Mohg, Lord of Blood in Mohgwyn Palace is different from the underground Mohg encounter in Leyndell. The Lord of Blood fight is also one of the requirements for entering Shadow of the Erdtree.

02

Prepare for the ritual

Mohg applies a distinctive blood curse leading into a damaging phase transition. A specific crystal tear acquired through exploration can mitigate that mechanic; ordinary healing management also matters.

03

Space around bloodflame

His attacks leave fire-and-blood areas that punish standing in the same location. Avoid chasing the boss directly through lingering hazards, and carry a plan for recovering when the transition ends.
