Go further: 2026 Update Highlights
Tiny Takeover — March 2026
Tiny Takeover updated the look and behavior context of baby mobs, introduced the golden dandelion and made name tags craftable. The golden dandelion allows a baby mob to remain young until its effect is reversed. It matters for decorative farms, animal keeping and worlds in which you want to preserve a particular appearance. If you are following an older mob-breeding tutorial, check whether it references these newly available options.
Chaos Cubed — June 2026
Chaos Cubed added sulfur-oriented underground terrain and the sulfur cube, with interactions involving physics and blocks. Sulfur and cinnabar material sets expand available building palettes. Exploring these caves can introduce different hazards from older cave systems, so approach them with supplies and observation instead of assuming the behavior will match slime farms or ordinary caverns. Technical builds based on the new mob may require version-specific testing.
Wilderness Bound — September 2026
Wilderness Bound introduced the dappled forest, poplar trees, abandoned camps and additional outdoor and decorative items. It expands exploration and building choices rather than replacing the normal early survival progression. Collect saplings and samples when you find an unfamiliar forest, then grow and use these materials safely at your base. The feature set appears in the September 2026 stable game drop; future announced changes are not treated as released content here.
Edition/version checks
Mojang and Microsoft release updates for Java and Bedrock that do not always share identical version numbers. Game drops, hotfixes and previews can have different feature availability. These sections describe published content as of the October 2026 editorial review, not a live patch feed. If an item or biome is missing, confirm the edition and installed version before concluding the instructions are wrong.
