ORIGINAL VOLPEDIA FIELD GUIDE

Farm Layouts: Which to Choose: detailed walkthrough

01

Standard and Four Corners

Standard offers broad crop-oriented flexibility. Four Corners naturally separates projects and can work well for multiplayer responsibilities or a solo player who wants production, animals and processing in distinct areas.

02

Riverland, Forest and Hill-top

Waterways, foraging bonuses and cliffs influence usable ground and travel routes. Choose these when atmosphere or activity bonuses matter more than massive contiguous sprinkler fields.

03

Beach and Wilderness

Beach Farm strongly limits sprinkler use on the main sand, favoring different income strategies. Wilderness Farm includes combat-oriented nighttime considerations that may change your early safety plan.

04

Meadowlands in 1.6

The Meadowlands farm has a coop, two chickens and blue grass at the start. This provides an animal-oriented introduction rather than simply the same economy with a recolored map. Plan early hay and animal care before ordering more livestock.

05

Build for your preferences

Paths between storage, shipping, animals and growing plots often matter as much as theoretical tile efficiency. Save space for later structures and leave access to fishing and foraging exits.
