Overview
Create an island collection strategy without inventing clue coordinates.
How it works
Create an island collection strategy without inventing clue coordinates. Plan around season length, tool capacity and the objectives that matter to your save.
Practical advice
Track unlocked zones, puzzles, fishing, farming and fossils.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not claim every Golden Walnut comes from random drops.
Ginger Island Golden Walnuts: detailed walkthrough
Understand the total and gates
There are 130 Golden Walnuts to collect. Many are needed to open island paths, and 100 obtained unlock Qi’s Walnut Room. Keep these distinct numbers clear before claiming an island is completed.
Explore systematically
Scan new island regions for hidden paths and clues, then record any puzzle or collection you have already solved. Several walnuts depend on different activities, so repetitive farming in one location cannot finish the entire set.
Connect Journal Scraps to locations
Journal Scraps and dialogue provide hints about island secrets. Use the knowledge you collect in-game instead of relying on invented Volpedia treasure coordinates. Keep a record of what each discovered clue suggests.
Combine collections with other goals
While hunting walnuts, collect Field Office fossil pieces, progress the island farm, and gather Cinder Shards in the Volcano Dungeon. A region-based route saves travel time. Plan an island visit around several nearby activities, not only one walnut.
Know when to move on
If one puzzle is not solved, work on another activity and return with new context. Island progression is designed to be discovered across many visits, not always cleared in one session.
