Icebox

Two sites · vertical cover · ziplines

Icebox is an arctic industrial facility filled with stacked containers, different elevations and ziplines. Teams must clear threats above and below them, not just at head height on one floor.

01 / UNDERSTANDING THE MAP

How Icebox works

Icebox is an arctic industrial facility filled with stacked containers, different elevations and ziplines. Teams must clear threats above and below them, not just at head height on one floor.

02 / ATTACKERS

How to attack

Move through a contested entry with utility focused on the elevated positions first. Decide who checks the zipline angles while another player covers the grounded defender.

03 / DEFENDERS

How to defend

Use vertical positions for information but avoid becoming trapped on an isolated platform. A well-timed retreat can keep the same height advantage useful later in the round.

04 / TERRITORY & ROTATIONS

Map control and positioning

The most dangerous angle can come from a second level. Check above, at eye level and underneath before advancing.

05 / THE SPIKE

Plants, post-plants and retakes

Coordinate which level to clear before trying to stop a defuse. The Spike is often visible from multiple heights and can punish an unguarded tap.

Common mistake

Checking only ground-level corners and walking into an elevated crossfire.

Practice this map

Load Icebox in a custom game. Walk both site approaches, test the main rotation, and practice one coordinated entry and one retake. Repeat after major map geometry changes.
