01

Overview

The main boss of Stormveil Castle, mixing axe swings, area attacks and a changed second phase.

02

How it works

The second phase introduces fire patterns; spacing and patience matter more than chasing constant damage.

03

How to approach it

Learn his opening commitments, back away from big sweeps and exploit clearly finished sequences.

04

Common mistakes

Avoid standing in front of every transition attack waiting for a free hit.

ORIGINAL VOLPEDIA WALKTHROUGH

Godrick the Grafted: step by step

01

Before the fight

Godrick waits at the end of Stormveil Castle after a dungeon full of alternate routes. Open graces and shortcuts before a boss run; upgrade a weapon and strengthen flasks rather than spending attempts with weak equipment.

02

First phase

His axe combos reach farther than expected and can include ground-shaking attacks. The end of a long sweep or a fully committed slam gives a safer moment to strike. Do not try to punish each small swing within a sequence.

03

Dragon-fire phase

After the phase transition, Godrick develops new flame attacks. Read whether the fire spreads across the ground or opens a recovery window after a sweep. Reposition instead of standing in front of his arm just because he appears stationary.
