Overview
How transfers connect to Z-A and what compatibility caveats mean.
How it works
Pokémon HOME connectivity with Legends: Z-A was enabled in April 2026. The service can store compatible Pokémon and facilitate transfers under its own restrictions. Not every Pokémon and every destination are interchangeable.
How to play
Before transferring, confirm the target species is supported in the receiving game. Keep a record of important Pokémon and understand that transfer restrictions may prevent them from returning to earlier main-series titles.
Mistakes to avoid
Never assume a Pokémon moved into Z-A can freely travel back to every historical game. Transfer eligibility and move compatibility depend on the connected title.

Check the direction
Pokémon moved from Z-A cannot be sent to older main-series games. Pokémon brought from older games into Z-A likewise cannot return to those earlier titles.
Keep backups sensible
Before large batches, test a small number of noncritical Pokémon and confirm they appear correctly in the destination.
Tool distinction
The Volpedia type charts are an encyclopedia feature, not an account connection and not a Pokémon HOME transfer utility.
