Overview
Understand battle zones, ticket points and promotion matches.
How it works
The story competition takes place at night in designated battle zones. Trainers begin at rank Z and aim to climb toward rank A. Winning battles provides ticket points; after gathering enough, a promotion ticket makes a rank-up match available.
How to play
Use daytime to prepare your team. In nighttime battle zones, take advantage of cover and positioning: spotting a trainer first can create a better opening. Look for bonus cards whose conditions can earn additional ticket points.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not confuse the story Royale with multiplayer ranked seasons in Z-A Battle Club. They have different entry rules and progression.

Ticket points
Treat each night as an opportunity to make progress, not as a requirement to win every fight. Read bonus objectives and select the ones you can complete safely.
Promotion matches
Before spending time on another promotion, check healing, move coverage and which Pokémon are likely to struggle with your opponent’s lineup.
Prepare during the day
Catch more diverse Pokémon, buy supplies and experiment with moves during wild encounters. The daytime/nighttime cycle is built around this preparation rhythm.
