The Perfection Checklist: detailed walkthrough
Unlock the tracker
Qi’s Walnut Room on Ginger Island contains the in-game Perfection Tracker. You need island progression to enter; the 100-Golden-Walnut entry threshold is different from the total of 130 walnuts available.
Review the broad categories
True Perfection considers shipping collections, recipes cooked and crafted, fish caught, friendships, skill levels, Stardrops, monster eradication, Golden Walnuts and major farm purchases. No single task replaces all the others.
Prioritize slow and seasonal objectives
Missed seasonal fish or crops can take a long time to revisit, so keep a separate checklist by season. Specialized crafting requirements can depend on late-game unlocks; avoid selling uncommon resources before checking their future use.
Understand alternate completion options
Update 1.6 introduced Perfection Waivers as an alternative paid route. This is a game mechanic, not the same as personally finishing every activity; decide whether you want the classic complete-everything challenge.
Finish on your own terms
Perfection is an optional extra layer of Stardew Valley. Building a farm you enjoy, completing relationships, collecting items and exploring the island remain valid endings even if the tracker is not at 100%.
