Overview
Choose spells for their attack pattern and manage mana during extended fights.
How it works
Magic weapons may bounce, pierce, home, channel or drain mana continuously. Better mana capacity alone does not fix an unsafe casting position.
How to use it
Use Mana Crystals and relevant buffs early, then test spell trajectories against the intended target.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not commit all mana just before a fast boss phase starts.
Magic Class Mana Management: detailed guide
Build the first spell kit
Wand and Space Gun style attacks offer very different mana use and ranges. Gather Fallen Stars and craft permanent Mana Crystals. Compare equipment that changes mana expenditure before discarding what looks like a weaker weapon.
Select by encounter geometry
Water Bolt can work in corridors, whereas long open arenas reward different projectile behavior. Area-control spells help waves and crowds; sustained beams become powerful only when you can safely maintain a channel. Learn projectile arc before the actual fight.
Sustain the whole fight
Use mana-restoring items and spell-oriented armor when appropriate. If you use strong but expensive attacks for every weak enemy, you may begin the boss phase depleted. Adjust spell choice for adds, movement windows and main damage phases.
Protect the caster
Defense remains important even for a mage, but avoidance is the primary answer to many late boss patterns. Keep a hook or wings, use vertical escape routes and practice healing while moving. The best spell cannot compensate for standing still during a charge.
