A beginner-first framework for choosing weapons and abilities as a team without relying on invented prices.
See the subjects in this guide.

The buy phase is a team decision
Before each round, check your available credits and ask what the entire team can afford. Weapons and some abilities compete for your credits; buying the most expensive option alone can leave teammates unable to execute a coordinated plan.
Look at the team’s combined purchase potential rather than focusing on one player’s loadout.
Full buy, partial buy and save
A full buy aims to give the team a strong, coordinated purchase. A save prioritizes retaining credits for a future round. A partial buy spends selectively while preserving a future plan. The correct choice depends on the match, not on a rigid universal number.
When teammates disagree, a brief callout such as “save together for next round” prevents mismatched purchases and makes the objective clear.
Budget for useful abilities
Choose utility that supports your role and immediate round plan. A smoke that helps your team enter, or information utility that prevents a blind push, may be more useful than maximizing firepower without a plan.
Use Riot’s in-game buy screen for current prices. Patches may change costs, weapon behavior and abilities, so numeric credit tables need regular verification before publication.
