Use the official Acquire Resources flow to understand missing crafting ingredients, recycling and available ways to complete an item.
What Acquire Resources was built to solve
The developer acknowledged that moving across menus to locate missing crafting materials was frustrating. The Acquire Resources button was added to the crafting screen to show ways to obtain what a current recipe lacks.
Possible sources depend on what is actually available to your account and resources at that moment. The official explanation mentions paths such as recycling items and buying from Celeste; it does not claim that every material can always be purchased.
Use the crafting screen as the starting point
Open the item you want to craft and identify missing materials before deciding to head Topside. Look at the available acquisition options presented by the game; a recycled resource you already own may be more convenient than starting another raid.
Compare the source against the value of what you would consume. Recycling a scarce item can solve one recipe while preventing another useful build, so a faster button should not replace deliberate inventory decisions.
- 01Open the recipe and check missing ingredients.
- 02Inspect Acquire Resources for currently available sources.
- 03Confirm what would be consumed before crafting.
Why an item may still be unavailable
A missing option is not necessarily a bug. The official guidance emphasizes the word available: if a source is not possible in your current state, it may not be offered.
Avoid third-party lists that promise a universal exchange rate without specifying the relevant game update. Use the game’s current recipe and resource display for quantities, then check official patch notes if a previously working flow has changed.
