Complete beginner walkthrough: complete guide
Before your first raid
ARC Raiders is an extraction game: the goal is not simply to eliminate enemies, but to bring useful supplies back to Speranza. Start with equipment you can replace, read your active trader quest, and select a compact objective. Make a point of identifying one safe exit and one alternative before leaving the staging area.
Learn the first map
On the surface, observe hard cover, rooftops, machine patrols and routes connecting loot sites to extraction. Move deliberately between safe positions, not toward every distant gunshot. Keep track of how much time and recovery equipment remains after each discovery.
Choose what to collect
Prioritize your quest item, the next workstation upgrade and a small supply of repair or healing resources. Use the item descriptions in your own build to decide what to keep or recycle. A full backpack of cheap components can be less useful than one part required to progress.
Avoid unnecessary combat
Machines cost ammunition and produce noise; Raiders can show up after the encounter. If a fight is not needed for your goal, reroute. If you must fight, stay near solid cover, preserve a retreat angle and relocate once the threat is handled.
Extract and improve
Once you have a useful haul, choose extraction over one more container. Back in Speranza, repair essential equipment, convert or sell only surplus goods, record what your next upgrade needs and accept the following quest. Consistent successful runs build progress faster than reckless high-value failures.
