How PvP and PvE interact: complete guide
Different threats, shared spaces
ARC machines and human Raiders can pressure the same location. A noisy ARC encounter can advertise both your position and the possibility of good loot. When an ARC encounter erupts near your planned exit, assess whether to wait, reroute or deliberately move away. The interaction of machines and players makes even a successful kill a possible signal to competitors.
Read audio and cover
Approach a fight with an angle to withdraw. Look for routes other players may use to arrive after hearing gunfire or explosions.
Do not overchase
A wounded enemy moving into unknown rooms may be drawing you away from cover. Re-evaluate whether finishing the fight improves your extraction goal.
Squad discipline
Use pings, assign one player to watch a second angle and coordinate rescues. A teammate rescue can be smart, but only after you know where the threat is.
Successful exit beats score
Unlike an arena shooter, maximizing kills is not always the optimal objective. A clean extraction with quest progress can be more valuable than another risky elimination.
