Understand the new feature
Outpost was added in Frozen Trail 2.0 as a space you can unlock and expand through projects, associated quests and furniture designs. The new Outpost system also includes Furniture Designs discovered on the surface, and not every design comes from the same unlock source. Treat decorative collection as a secondary goal until the key project and research prerequisites are complete.
Complete the unlock path
Read the project requirements, accept the relevant quest and bring the in-game camera when required. Do not assume that merely possessing parts opens the facility.
Find and learn designs
Furniture Designs can be looted or unlocked through specific progress paths. Check whether a design is already learned before dedicating a risky raid to it.
Unlock research
The Research Bench is connected to Outpost progress. Open the required portion of the Outpost before trying to follow advanced research directions.
Balance with survival
Decorating an Outpost is a satisfying side goal, but maintain enough ammunition, healing and kit budget for the surface runs funding it.
