Use blueprints to reproduce useful machine arrangements without rebuilding every detail.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Blueprint Designers allow players to save certain build layouts for later placement once the feature is unlocked. Small production modules, conveyor patterns or utility structures are often better early templates than a massive all-purpose factory section.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

When making a module, keep input and output access obvious. Test whether a copied layout can connect cleanly to the rest of your factory and whether its throughput matches your supply. Version and designer size can affect the available building space.

  1. 01Choose a repeatable module
  2. 02Leave clear input/output ports
  3. 03Test the first placement
  4. 04Save versions as the design improves
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

A blueprint copies a layout, not a guarantee that all ingredients, power or connected belts are supplied after placement.
