Plan an Act 1 route according to your deck and current health rather than following a fixed path.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

The map offers branching routes with combats, elite encounters, events, shops and rest sites. Elites often provide valuable rewards, but they are dangerous when the deck is weak or your health is low.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

Before taking a route, count how many forced fights it contains and where you can recover or upgrade. Early damage cards can make elite fights safer; defensive planning becomes more important as threats scale.

  1. 01Inspect the next two branches
  2. 02Estimate elite risk
  3. 03Check the nearest rest site
  4. 04Choose the route your deck can handle
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

A path with the most rewards is not always the path with the best chance to survive. Consider the specific enemy threats you might face in this act.
