01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Potions can provide damage, defense, draw and other temporary benefits. Inventory space is limited, so refusing to use an effective potion can waste later drops and leave you taking preventable damage.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

When a threatening turn is approaching, compare the potion's impact to the health you are likely to lose. Saving resources for a boss is reasonable, but a resource that prevents an early death has already earned its value.

  1. 01Review held potions before combat
  2. 02Spot a dangerous enemy turn
  3. 03Use a potion with clear impact
  4. 04Do not hoard at the cost of survival
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

Using a potion does not generally consume card energy. Treat it as an additional tactical resource and pay attention to when its effect matters most.
