Understand why removing a weak card can matter more than adding a new one.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Removing a card changes the average quality of future draws. Weak starting attacks or defends can become less valuable after your deck gains stronger replacements, but the best removal depends on which effects are missing.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

At shops and other removal opportunities, inspect your whole deck. If early turns need block, removing too many defensive options may be harmful. In a deck with strong draw, a single removal may matter differently than in a small deck.

  1. 01Review the current deck
  2. 02Identify the weakest repeated draw
  3. 03Check defense and damage balance
  4. 04Remove only if consistency improves
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

Do not remove a card only because a guide always removes it. Evaluate how often it is useful in your actual fights.
