Understand energy costs, playable turns and the downside of taking too many high-cost cards.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Most turns give you limited energy for cards. A high-impact card may look attractive, yet drawing several costly options together can leave you with fewer actions than expected. Draw power, cheaper cards and energy generation all affect whether a deck operates smoothly.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

During a fight, notice which cards stay in your hand because you cannot pay for them. If this happens repeatedly, review whether the problem is average energy cost, limited draw or missing synergy. Taking a reward is optional.

  1. 01Count your typical turn cost
  2. 02Observe stranded cards
  3. 03Check energy support
  4. 04Skip rewards that worsen the problem
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

High card rarity does not guarantee an efficient turn. Evaluating a card in isolation ignores your existing deck and the enemies you are about to face.
