Understand the connection between happy NPC towns, available Pylons and travelling across a large world.

01 / 03

Understand the mechanic

Pylons are biome-based travel points that can connect eligible towns. They encourage small settlements outside one central base, while NPC happiness and placement affect access to the appropriate Pylon.

02 / 03

Put it into practice

When choosing a town site, weigh biome, nearby resources and how often you actually travel through the area. Create valid housing and confirm the game allows the Pylon to operate before depending on it for boss preparation.

  1. 01Build valid housing
  2. 02Check NPC preferences
  3. 03Acquire an appropriate Pylon
  4. 04Test travel before relocating supplies
03 / 03

Common mistake to avoid

Buying a Pylon is not the same as making it usable. Rules about nearby NPCs and locations still apply; verify the current game's requirements.
